The Tongariro Alpine Crossing, a wonderful one-day trek, is on your doorstep, as well as the largest skifield in Australasia. Both Lake Taupo and the Whanganui River are 30 minutes away.
Bayview Chateau Tongariro features a tennis court, games room with billiards, sauna, indoor plunge pool and a gym.
The in-house cinema seats 60 people and shows 3 recently released movies every day, free of charge.
